I think it was done well but I wasn't really sucked in. Being along in space or the sea is scary and that is the only thing really horrifying about the book. It isn't a bad book it is a good little read to get you through a project or some activtiy.

I liked the plot of this in theory (the twist as to what is actually going on is really cool) but I hated the clinical writing style and pretty much every character except the wraith sidekick.
