I loved this look at the dangers of being an aristocrat during the French Revolution. The illustrations are wildly inviting. The text is sprinkled with true stories that are so incredible that it is difficult to believe they are factual. The layout on the page is fun and easy to read. The author studied ancient and modern history at Oxford.
