This book was a lot of fun to read, but it took a while to get there.
The beginning almost wore me down because of how long winded Aisling can be. My. God. But, once she lets other people talk and lets things happen, it gets funny and interesting.
Although, the fact that everyone is like “how don't you know about your powers/the rules of this society/etc.” gets SO ANNOYING. How in the world was she supposed to know what she is?? How was she supposed to learn? UGH. Don't even get me started on how confused I am with the concept of dragon mates– I just don't get it.
So, ignoring the confusion and people not explaining anything, leaving Aisling to get into trouble (because she doesn't ask for clarification), I just went along for the ride and enjoyed it. Don't think deeply and roll with it. This will be a great series for me to read when I'm exhausted.
