Edgy try-hard book with no plot by an author who thinks harrassing reviewers you don't like is cool.
This is a hard one to rate, I did enjoy it and I think it does what it set out to do well. It is gross and definitely took me out of my comfort zone but overall was good read. It in my opinion a little predictable and there were parts at the end I wasn't as big a fan of. If you like more extreme horror I think this is a good and quick read.
Let's talk about “Woom” by Duncan R. Brace yourself, folks because this one is a rollercoaster of a read.First things first, it's the writing that keeps you hooked! then add the shorts, and then the ending like 5/5 for me.
The kind of book that has you saying, “Just one more chapter,” and suddenly it's 4 a.m. How did that happen?
But here's the kicker – it's the kind of messed-up that you can't look away from. It's like watching a car crash in slow motion, and you can't avert your eyes. and you're just hoping everyone is okay.. that is literally the only way how i can explain this book.
And dont worry about the extreme horror trigger i didnt really think of it as one. Take it one chapter out a time. It kinda is like stand alone episode that lead to a bang of an ending. The way everything ties up at the end? It's like watching a magician reveal the secrets behind the tricks. You're left in awe, thinking, “Wow, just wow.”
So if you're ready for a suspenseful, intense, and slightly twisted journey that'll keep you up way past your bedtime, “Woom” is your ticket. Just make sure you've got plenty of snacks and coffee on hand. You're in for one wild ride...
Honestly read most of this tonight. Once I picked it back up I had to finish it. I started to realize the stories were about him pretty early on I feel but I had to know where he was going with it. Shyla was awesome. I loved her character. And the way she still felt sorry for him and took care of him at the end after EVERYTHING he did to her blows my mind. The poor girl had been traumatized so young and he just completely stomped on her trauma cause he cared more about his own. Sheesh. Is it sad that I found this book slightly refreshing after reading Dead Inside? 😅😅😂
This is the type of horror novels I'm always after. Grisly, dark, disturbing with great characters.
amazed - truly a new favorite now
the level of horror was great. i liked the writing style and story structure. it was extremely well done. but remind me again why a white author needs to include the n word in their books? there's no justification for it.
Disturbing horror as if it was written by the edgy kid in class who views HC2 as a magnum opius of cinema. Who knew reading awful things could be this boring.
Could not finish!! I thought people where just being dramatic.....it is A LOT!!
