Definitely different from my usual reading choices - a lighter version of a supernatural world where the humans aren't aware, that a dazzling variety of creatures live amongst them; demons could be adorable and have dimples, werewolves can talk in shifted form, harpies could be knocked out with a bag of books/it's a very cool weapon if there isn't anything else lying around/, death witches can heal, mermen can turn into walking humans/clothes and all intact/in a blink of an eye and mating rituals have cool side effects. Ohh, and let's not forget the biting - it's kinky, dirty and hot during s*x but won't turn you furry. There was definitely a lot to process and for Jeremy - one of our MCs - it was like landing in a magical wonderland. His endless curiosity and barrage of questions were raining non stop and driving Adrian wild. The snark, banter and hilarious absurdity of some situations were the most distinctive part of the story. There was even a twist I was expecting to happen while the plot was developing and that really helped Adrian and Jeremy to be together and connect better. Overall it was entertaining, just a teeny-tiny bit too cheesy for my taste. Also, while I understand the concept of possessiveness, I don't like to see it too much front and center in events happening on page/this of course is just my preference/. The author has done a good job in creating one engaging world of magic and mayhem.
