Police officer rookie Ellie James is called to help Nova Nesbitt find her missing daughter, Lily. Shortly after, Nova goes missing as well, and her abusive husband is the number one suspect.
I really enjoyed how this was written from the point of view of different characters. I believe that it brought the story together, little by little. It held my attention from the very beginning. Each chapter ended with a cliff-hanger, causing me to not want to put the book down. I had to keep on reading to see where it was going.
I would definitely categorize this as a thriller because it had so many twists and turns. Once I had a guess as to what was going to happen, I was proved wrong. The only thing I wasn't a huge fan of was the ending. I know this was a shorter book, but I felt as though the ending was a bit abrupt. It could have been made a little bit longer and given the readers a bit of clarification about some questions they may have had.
Carissa Ann Lynch did a phenomenal job and I look forward to reading more from her in the future!
