Over liefde in allerlei vormen, en eigenlijk vooral over Tiny Cooper, “not the world's gayest person, and not the world's largest person, but I believe he may be the world's largest person who is really, really gay, and also the world's gayest person who is really, really large.”
I have been on a bit of a spree of John Green books and happened to stumble upon this one. At first glace it took me awhile to buy and read it because I didn't know much about what it was about but gave it a shot in the dark and decided to read it.
This book is a breath of fresh air in its originality and the fact that the characters are slightly different than the other John Green novels. I dare someone to find a book to compare this to and to see if it was as good as this.
Sooo....Will Grayson, Will Grayson is about two different Will Grayson's who have no idea the other exists until they one day meet by accident at a porn shop! (yep you heard me right.). And their lives start to become intertwine and find a bond that cant be broken once they encounter each other. My favorite character would have to be Jane, just cause i fell for her just as well one of the will graysons did, and of course how could i not like Tiny?! Such a loveable character i think everyone could use him in their lives!(TINY COOPER, I APPRECIATE YOU!).
The only thing I disliked was the gloomy will grayson just because he always got on my nerves which every thing he does and couldn't make his mind up on a lot of things until the end. But I still enjoyed his parts in the book. The last thing is I wish the had an extra chapter to tell me what happened after everything! I wanted so much more from the ending but it is satisfying never the less.
so GO BY THIS BOOK! It will make you laugh out loud literally, sad and almost cry at the end. Its a great read!
The book follows the story of two high-school boys who just happen to have the same name – Will Grayson. One is a straight guy with a very gay friend named Tiny Cooper, who is currently producing a play about his life. The other is a moody and depressed gay teenager. The two Will's meet one fateful night accidentally in a porn shop and end up helping each other out while they struggle to find their identity. Each chapter is written by alternating authors, and each Will Grayson has their own unique style of writing.
\This book was an enjoyable read and had a few laugh-out-loud moments. The idea of two authors writing two perspectives actually works well, although the gay Will Grayson's lack of capitalization and constant string of curse words can get to be a bit much at times. The star of the book is the flamboyantly gay Tiny Cooper, who helps weave the two Will's together. There is a bit of discussion about gay issues, such as coming out and social acceptable, but the gay characters do nothing beyond kissing.
my school librarian nervously glanced at me and asked ‘are you sure?' as i checked out this book HAHAHAAHHAHAAH
YA fiction by two authors I don't know, recommended by a friend. I listened to it on Audible (good performance) and was immediately drawn in. While the characters may be a bit predictable, it didn't matter. I cared about them all and was very moved by the ending. Wish I'd read it earlier.
“You know what sucks about love?”“What?”“That it's so tied to the truth.”
Was this my favourite book from John Green? No. However, this was such a fun read and kept me entertained from start to finish.
There were moments of this book that I loved and then moments that I didn't. I loved the characters in this book and I think that's why I rated this as high as I did. Tiny was such a highlight for me and brought so much to this story.
This was a classic coming-of-age story. It made me feel that I had been transported back to high school. I truly felt like I was reading a story from teenagers and I loved that. I also loved that at the very core of this book, it was the love of friendship that won.
I felt like something was missing from this that would've made me give it five stars but overall, I enjoyed this!
would've loved it when i was like 15 so i guess i read this 11 years too late lmao
What a fabulous book. Seriously. This made me so happy. I laughed so much, and to be honest I found myself in tiny. Even though he's obviously more fabulous. Cannot wait to reread this some day...
i don't care if tiny cooper got a bit of a character development at the end he's still annoying as shit
this was so... i dont even know if i should say disappointing because i wasn't even expecting much
I Stopped caring about the characters after the first 50 pages or so, but i kept reading for the sake of completing the book (Yea i need to get a closure) .
after half of the book , i just couldn't continue reading . it was boring , nth is happening . Tiny is annoying AF. i just couldn't stand him Ughhh!
I was reading this along with the fault in our starts . and boy oh boy . this can't be a John Green Book.
So.disappointed.
Me gustó, bonito.
Em vários momentos me peguei dando risada conforme as cenas iam acontecendo.
Absolutely amazing! One of the best books I have ever read. It describes everyday life and how the behaviour of your friends can change it. And also you can learn something from the book. I stongly recommend it to everybody!
