This is rather disappointing after the high quality of the first two volumes. Each issue in the collection focuses on a different member of the pantheon, showing us something of their background, as well as providing answers to some of the mysteries of the preceding volumes. The writing is good, and it's also good to see more development of some of the characters we have seen relatively little of up to this point. There are also some significant developments in the plot, even if the main focus is elswhere. All of this would have been great had it not been let down by the artwork. Some of it is not quite as good as that in the previous volumes, some of it is different, but on a par in terms of quality, and some of it... well, it's really not to my taste. And sufficiently so to seriously detract from the collection as a whole. Things look like they'll be picking up again in volume 4, though, so here's waiting for that...
