Thank you so much to the author for sending me a copy of this book via R&R Book Tours.
This book is based on a true story and it is very difficult to read. As mentioned above there are several trigger warnings for this book. I don't want to tell you all of them because if I did I would pretty much be telling you the entire book.
Just reading the first chapter I was asking myself how much bad stuff can one person go through and see? It was crazy reading how much bad things this one person had had happen to her and stuff that she had seen happening.
Depending on how much you can stomach at one time this could be a quick read. I almost read it in one day. It has very hard hitting subject matter so that's something to be aware of.
It feels odd saying that I enjoyed this book because of the subject matter but in the end I did and I am glad I read it. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time reading it however I knew what the reveals were going to be before they were actually revealed. It was also really repetitive which really started to bug me.
I definitely think this is a story that needs to be read and I am glad I was able to read it. I actually learned about something I wasn't very knowledgeable about.
