Who Wrote the Bible?

Fairly good book outlining the documentary hypothesis for the composition of the Torah. I believe it's a bit outdated and perhaps Friedman goes too far trying to pinpoint specific authors. His hunch on the Exodus story coming from the group that would eventually become the Levites was interesting.

A must read.
And probably re-read a few times after that
