An amazingly likeable book, considering all three of the main characters are unlikeable (some more than others). The mother is weak and manipulative, the sister is promiscuous and selfish, and the brother is - well, he's just lost. Without spoiling the ending, I will say that it provides a neater, more upbeat conclusion than I would have expected.
