Where Waves Break

I was in love and I mean in love. This book was so close to perfection til the 80% mark. The characters and their depth was immaculate. Nanny and single dad set up was perfect, the kid was so so cute. I loved the d/s aspects, that genuinely sold the book for me because it was so utterly perfect. The third act conflict... I am so so upset.

I am not a third act hater, I actually think they have a vital place in books. It wasn't even the reasoning behind the third act conflict that I hated, it was VERY valid. The characters acted in ways that were not consistent with the entirety of the book up to this point. I was so disappointed with the way that it played out and the resolution was not what I wanted in the slightest. I didn't even read this epilogue that's how unimpressed I was.

This book absolutely deserves the three stars because I adored every moment up to third act conflict.
