Musca has grown up without her mom, and was raised in the United States. Upon learning of her mother's death she makes a hard decision and moves to Pakistan. While there she lives in her mother's home and attends school.
She meets Aaliyan Haider during a school debate competition and is smitten. Things in Pakistan are not done as in the States. How will she manage to go to school and further her affections without disrupting life there. It is a journey she doesn't have to take alone as she has made friends and connections to help her along the way.
The journey of love between Musca and Aaliyan isn't an easy one but it's one they choose and one they grow into together. In the end they are whole, as one, and happy.
The only thing that bothered me was the over descriptiveness. It could be tedious at times reading the sentences and paragraphs that could have been much shorter while getting the same point across. Having an editor would help cull the pages down and make it more streamlined and easier to read.
Overall a very beautiful story about a young girl trying to find herself and her path in life.
