I was so charmed by this, I couldn't put it down. It's sweet without being sickeningly sweet. Inge Marie has come to the island to live with her grandmother, and everyone who lives on the island just seems so glum. I don't know if it was Inge or the animals that made me fall in love with this book first, but I looked forward to each chapter and didn't want it to end. It's not that Inge is bad-in any way, it's that trouble just kind of follows her around. I hope there are more, and this could become a new classic.
PS LOVE the cover!
