When Darkness Finds You

I really like horror stories that take place in haunted houses, so of course, I've had to read this one. :) And it delivers! For a novel so short (not even 200 pages), it builds up the mystery very well. It helps that there aren't a ton of characters and I really liked how those interac with each other. But the thing that I've really liked is how grief is shown. Especially Rose's grief. Of course, when I've read the author's note, it made sense.

So, it's a horror story, yes, but also a story about loss, family, friendship, love and in the end, moving forward. For those who want something really scary, that's not it, but those who like your horror with a dose of good feelings, this is for you. :)
