What Do You Do with an Idea?

The personification of everything as an Idea is crazy. You can replace any word with idea and this book's message will still hard. Crazy respect for the author. A must read for everyone in their 20s. Kudos to the author and the man who made all the illustrations seem pretty relatable.

This was recommended to me by a friend, who also happens to be a teacher. I figured why not since it's for the grandbabies.

The forming and execution of the idea, as laid out in this book would be for older elementary ages, maybe 7 to 9. The suggested reading age for this one is 5-8 but I believe this would be too confusing for a 5 or 6 year old.

This is beautifully illustrated and I love the concept as the idea forms. The pictures start out in black and white with the idea left in color. As the idea grows the colors in the illustrations around the idea expand until finally the idea comes to life and it's all color.

Overall, an interesting read and one of recommend.

I enjoyed this book a bit more than I enjoyed What to do With a Problem but overall it was just okay.

A charming bookstore North of Seattle. First time there. A comfortable sofa in the back. And this book that I picked up. We read it there, both of us sitting on this sofa. And loved it so much that we bought the book. And loved it so much that we bought the egg plush. And the rest is history. Oh, and Red and Blue were born there too. 6/9/21

This was an incredible children's book. I recommend it to every parent, and those of us childless adults who happen to have a soft spot for children's books (like me).

The illustrations are beautiful, a bit whimsical, and very, very cute. I love the character designs and the page layouts. As an added bonus, the story is really well-written and engaging. It is told in the first person POV and the prose aren't like a typical children's book. It is not that one-syllable-word, five-word-per-sentence type of story, which makes me love this story even more.
