How I wish this book was longer; a part of a collection of essays, for instance. Even though the main ideas of the book are nothing new to me, I loved to read about the author's personal experiences. Western feminism mainly focuses on the issues we face in the Europe and the US, so many people, including myself, have no idea what struggles women in other places face.
There was a part that I didn't really like - when the author claimed we weren't apes. We are apes; we're just different from other apes. The reason I wasn't too keen on this inaccuracy is because feminism is often criticised as “unscientific”, and such statements give anti-feminists something to hold on to, one of those small, insignificant tidbits one would focus on disregarding the overall message of the book.
