This was okay but I didn't love it like I loved the first in this series (How It Unfolds by James S.A. Corey)
Murder mystery
Good short story. Love when authors can write a fully formed, tangible, emotional story in the span of a few pages.
Outside of the setting, this is simply a short murder mystery. I do feel that the author successfully baits the reader into thinking there is going to be something different going on due to the SF setting, but it ends up being pretty traditional. Fairly nice twist, though, so 4/5 for me.
A quick space mystery with a tight provoking point. I love stories that make me think. I wish this were a bit longer. That said, Roth leaves me to plumb the depths of the point.
