This is a detailed day-by-day chronology for the J. R. R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings. It describes what every major character is doing on every day in the tale, along with the historical background and later events gleaned from Tolkien's other writings. Each event has a reference to where it is described in The Lord of the Rings, along with additional helpful information such as the phases of the moon.
