Life is hard, and the older we get, it only seems to get more complex. We can easily get overwhelmed trying to deal with everything all at once. We look everywhere for solutions to make the journey a bit more bearable; everywhere but within. Sometimes we gain more from letting go. Whether it's old habits, stale mindsets, regrets of the past, or simply the way we view our lives; in order to grow we have to shed the things that are holding us back. UnLearn is collection of writings to remind you of the wisdom you've already acquired, but may have lost under the weight and pressures of daily life.

The author is not wrong about what he has written, but it is written in a very tiresome way. It is structured as 101 “chapters” which might reduce to maybe 10 themes. There is a lot of staggered repetition almost all of which are platitudes you might find in “feel-good” forwards. In fact, many of the titles are just slightly varying and the content is reworded with more examples, more assertions, and a stronger tone.
This book can be read as someone giving you advice but not explaining why. I suppose it could work for people who know the author from their other work. I didn't and it seemed weird to me to read advice without any explanation. Again, I agree with the advice having read other books on those topics where the explanation is logical and even scientifically studied. Over here, I am just supposed to listen to the author.
I could only read the first few chapters before the repetition started annoying me. Eventually, I only skimmed chapters reading the highlights, bold text, and a few random paragraphs. There are insights buried in the fluff but they are few and far between. Then again, one person's insights may be other person's platitudes.
