This textbook presents an introduction to basic statistics. Statistics is the science of making effective use of numerical data relating to groups of individuals or experiments. Topics include descriptive statistics, probability, binomial, Poisson and normal distributions, estimation and hypothesis testing of common parameters, analysis of variance for single factor and two factors, correlation, and simple linear regression.
