Under the Surface

I wanted a little bit more from this one. There were some great moments of tension and there was a lot of atmosphere, but I was let down by characters with unconvincing motives. The romantic element was squashed from the start since the two main characters were separated for the whole book. It got surprisingly dark (which I'm fine with), but it practically gave me whiplash going from high school friend drama to life or death scenarios. Decent audio and overall a quick and thrilling read.

This is a Ya Thriller set in the Catacombs of Paris where 4 students get lost in the catacombs with something sinister chases them. Dark secrets are revealed and it's not just about the catacombs. While above ground, the people they care about are racing against the clock to find them before it's too late.... Or is it???

I got this amazing opportunity to read this book as an Arc! This is my first book that Diana Urban has wrote that I have read and I was not disappointed! The suspense, the action, and the twists are perfect! The twists I wasn't expecting and they kept me on my toes. I was questioning what was going to happen to the characters any chance I could get. I loved the multiple points of views with the chapters. I wouldn't change anything about this book. 10/10, I highly recommend this book! Coming out Summer of 2024. Can't wait for everyone to get their hands on this book
