This book wasn't at all Ugly, but it was not as beautiful or as captivating as what of other Mareng Colleen's books were, however this is such an achievement as what have read at the acknowledgement, this is her 8th book. Impressive.

Let's start with the setting, Miles being a Pilot is an immense turn on, I only know one pilot and he's such a nice lad.

Anyway, Miles six years ago was irritating, or at least how he.., thinks things? I don't know, the idea the way his POV was written made me question if is it really how Miss Hoover really wanted to do things. Yes, I doubted her, sorry but you'll get over it. The thing is, I wasn't getting it.  It kind of reminded me of Walt Whitman's style in poetry, because a lot of times, it doesn't have many sense, doesn't even rhyme or completely out of context, and he's one of the best ones I know. I'm saying this because almost the entire chapters of Miles' POV were like that, it was a slow phased theme and it got me tired. I mean, yeah, I got Slammed, I love Slammed because of the poetry, on how it was incorporated but I feel like this would have been better without it. The entire time I am on his POV, I get sucked in, the longer it was, the more I feel of Miles' intensity and how everything is flowing flawlessly and then we switch to Tate's POV and the style entirely changes. Then again almost at the end, it changed to a normal way then, BAM! It back again. Ugh.

You know I love poetry girl, but I'm tellin yah, when I want to read a damn straight book, I would appreciate a goddamn straight book.

The story was cool, I actually appreciate the side characters more than the main ones, I specially loved Corbin. I might have swooned a little when he was overly protective of Tate. ;)
Speaking of Tate, yes, I think she might be the first of Miss Hoover's female characters that I like, (give me a minute) Yes. She is the first one. She's different, maybe because she was older or something? Or maybe she already know what she wants in life and she's already there, making her wants happen, with her job and school, she totally is. Or maybe because of Corbin. ;)

And has anyone of you noticed how Miss Hoover likes staring contests? I did, I looked back on her other books and was candidly giddy that I noticed it. I don't mind, I like staring contests. ;)
