Jake & Cassidy are a truly sweet way to introduce us is to the Spencer-Kings & to Cherry Blossom Lake.

Jake definitely learned to not judge a book by its cover;) Guess that's a “sign” that he's changing the way he thinks of people.

What a wonderful start to this new series!

Ever since “meeting” Cassidy in “Just for Show,“ I've been looking forward to reading her story. And “Try Me“ did not disappoint! No damsel in distress, Cassidy was a capable shero (unless confronted with rogue crustaceans) who found her match in Jake, Mr. Chip-the-size-of-Mount-Hood-on-his-shoulder. I loved the chemistry and the banter between these two, and I appreciated how they dealt with the occasional mess-up like - dare I say it? - grown-ups. Kudos.

And ALL the bonus points for the wonderful supporting cast who managed to steal a scene or three. (And I hope many of them will eventually get their own HEAs... pretty please?).
