I loved all the sign language tips and explanations in between chapters although tbh I usually skip over that kind of stuff. I'm not sure I would have loved this book as much as I did if I didn't have a personal connection to ASL. The ending was a bit unresolved but it was still a beautiful story, with something important to say, and solid writing.
