Not crazy about a 26-year-old virgin paired with the town whore, but this might work for my stepping out challenge!
Still on my Devney Perry shit and definitely not complaining about it. Devney writes some of the best characters, and I've come to really love her stories. I'm loving the town of Lark Cove! Timid follows Jackson, co-owner of the Lark Cove bar, and Willa, a woman who has been crushing on Jackson since he came to town. Jackson has a dark past similar to Thea and has found solace in Lark Cove. One night, he finally notices Willa after she'd been crushing on him for years. This has everything I love about a Devney book: great banter, great plot, and great spice. Timid is an adult romance, 18+ for sexual content
I loved this one. Jackson is one of my favorite types of characters & he was amazing. (A bit stupid at times, but amazing nonetheless.) I wasn't sure how I was gonna feel about Willa, but I ended up really enjoying her character. This is my 2nd favorite book in this series, I thought it was going to be my #1 but one of the others beat it out. Only issues I had was that it could get a bit cheesy at times, and I don't really care for certain types of ‘dirty talk' in my novels, but I will definitely continue to read this author.
