I received a copy from Netgalley, to read and review.
I enjoyed this book. I had a little problem with some of the English slang, but for the most part could figure it out. The mystery was well written and enjoyable.
I loved this latest offering from Mark Billingham. Once again he has taken Thorne out of comfort zone. This time he is on a weekend break with Helen. Then two girls go missing in the town Helen grew up in, Helen knows the mother of one of them and wants to go to her. Suddenly Thorne finds himself on the outside of an investigation, looking in. But can he leave it at that?
An excellent read where we learn of Helen's early life and the reason why she left her childhood home never to return until the disappearance of two girls.
