Through the lock

Eleven-year-old orphan Etta Prentice is determined to find a home where she and her siblings can live together as a family. She stumbles on an abandoned cabin on the newly-completed New Haven and Northampton Canal. But the cabin is already occupied by twelve-year-old Walter, who moved there to escape his father. Etta and Walter must work together to survive the harsh winter and keep their new home a secret.
