I received this book from Entangled publishing and NetGalley in return for my honest opinion.
I don't know how I even keep doing it, but the books I read are always the second book in a series. And of course, I haven't read the first book.
Thank god that this book can be read as a stand-alone, I didn't have the idea that I missed things because I hadn't read the first book.
So, this book managed to get into the top 10 books I've read this far. It was funny, light and also not something I've read before. I'm a sucker for things like this, going on a ‘holiday' without knowing the person you'll be with for the time being. The characters were very funny, and I loved the aspect of a dog as a big part of the book. I laughed way too hard at the events that were happening at the gala at the end of the book.
So, read this book. It is amazing!
I received this book through Netgalley in exchange for an honest review
I love the stories where the couple has to pretend to be a couple and then find out they are perfect for each other. They are just so much fun! And I think this book is that feeling very well.
I did chuckle once or twice reading this.
This is a sweet story with cute characters. Honestly, I really liked these characters. Taylor understands Caitlyn has a problem with orders and does his best not to give those orders, but explains why he will. Now, I liked how this is done to show growth and connection, but still wish there was more of him not giving orders.
The romance is well done and the obstacles seem realistic, so how they were overcome was refreshing instead of how some books just sweep it away or expect the woman to move for the man.
I really liked this one, more than the first, and will keep my eye out for book #3.
