Thistledown was originally published in novella form in 1991, appearing in Once Upon A Time, an Anthology of Modern Fairy Tales, edited by Lester del Rey and Rissa Kessler. Now it appears in print in its longer form, with a cover painting by the author, cover design by Teddi Black.
