This is Where We Talk Things Out

this was a super short read. a story of a girl and her disagreeable mother who shes desperate to make amends with.
i quite enjoyed the characters. both of them had their flaws- more-so the mother, whose personality was so grating and blaming it made me angry.
predictable, but fun. i dont have many complaints.

They should put the trigger warnings at the beginning of the book, not the end...

MY FAVORITE NOVELLA EVER what this was so good and the setting made it work so well and the ending shocked me to my core. usually its hard for novellas to get a 5 star but this one is an easy 5 star and my favorite novella ive read!

this was such a good horror novella! i loved the fucked up family dynamics because even if we haven't experienced something this extreme, most people can relate to this in parts. i so wish this pushed the envelope a bit more and really leaned into that darkness.
 

It was pretty good, but I wouldn't look into to much before reading as a lot of reviews make the ending super obvious. Though it doesn't typically bother me, it is a super obvious twist and I found the end to come on quite quickly. It was written well though and I think would make a pretty good full length novel or even a decent movie thing just need to be more fleshed out. Needed a few more pages.
