(3.5) ✨Ghoulfriends✨
Most of my issues with this were genre related, and that's my fault for continuously reading YA even though it doesn't work for me. This was pretty cute though.
This Delicious Death is a young adult diverse horror story with laughs, zombies, music, and first love. I don't think I have a favorite character and that includes the voice of the story Zoey. Zoey may tell the main part of the story, but each of the girls play a central part of the whole. It wouldn't be delicious without them.

I received an ARC of this book and I am writing a review without prejudice and voluntarily.
Kayla Cottingham does it again! Thank you SO much to NetGalley, the publisher, and the wonderful author for the advanced copy. This is one of my most anticipated books of 2023 and it definitely lived up to the hype.
This book was fantastic. We follow four best friends (who happen to be ghouls) on an adventure to a major music festival where chaos ensues. I saw someone say this was Coachella meets Jennifer's body and those are definitely the right vibes to get a feel for this book.
I absolutely loved the strong female friendships in this book.
There is excellent LBTQ+ representation in this book, as well. I was cheering for our main love interest to get together with the main character the entire time.
TWs are available at the front of the book and on GR.
