Idk how Stephen King is probably the most famous author yet his average ratings are usually 3-4 stars. This book is outstanding. Probably because he kept it around 300 pages which is where he works best. Just gets to the point with no filling!
Billy is an over weight lawyer that accidentally ran over an old gypsy woman. The judge let's him off easy so the Gypsy's put a curse on him, making him continuously lose weight no matter how much he eats. At first it was a blessing but now it's getting dangerous. The story follows Billy trying to find the Gypsies and get his cursed removed. They may remove the curse but there are always consequences to remove a curse...
This book was much too short to be a slog, but the last 10% was pretty good, especially the very end.
Also just yikes at the “evil gypsies” as the villains here. Definitely wouldn't fly today hahaha

I ended up really loving everything about this book but the ending left me frustrated. The ending for this one was actually a good ending the problem I had with it was that I wanted more. I wanted to find out what happened after the events of the ending. I felt like it ended abruptly but like I said at the same time it was a good ending. I know I don't make any sense but that's how I felt.
Decent entertainment.
Thinner is a good story where nobody wins. I enjoyed it, but it was really just okay.
