Are the masks actually off? How much more pain can Omen handle after the way everything fell apart in the first book was a real treat thrill to find out and the continuation didn't disappoint.
Beautiful, hard won HEA for Omen and the guys from the Primordial covenant. It had all the expected angst after the devasting finale in the first book and the intensity of the emotions, the regret, the sorrow and the heartbreak were breathing from the pages so skillfully described, I was feeling the story, witnessing every challenge, every jagged piece of broken trust, cutting through the very fabric of the plot line. It was fascinating to watch how every character changed and how the shredded bonds were rebuilt. On top of all the internal struggles, we have additional plot line because the last toxic elements of Omen's past just refused to die, creating additional tension and increasing the danger for this beautiful, broken girl. I loved the continuation of Omen's story even more than the 1st part and the whole duet is going on the shelf of my favourite omegaverse books.
