The Theological and Gramatical Phrasebook of the Bible is a new kind of reference work. It seeks to go beyond the available lexicons and word studies and deal with the more extended associations of words that we call phrases. Basically, a phrase is a group of two or more words bearing certain grammatical associations that influence their usage or meaning. As the student compares phrase with phrase, patterns of usage and meaning structures will begin to become evident. However, this is something of a first pioneering effort. It will undoubtedly have imperfections in understanding and flaws in explanation, but the author's hope is that it will introduce both student and teacher to a new way of approaching the study of the English Bible, helping them gain insight into the original text and te processes of historical translation. - Introduction.
