Obviously I'm biased as I'm a friend of the pod, but this was great. Loved the insight from someone who worked with Obama from his campaign days all the way to the end. A fascinating look at how foreign policy works.

Hugely interesting, exceptionally well written, large in scope but very personal. I loved it.

As a college student, I studied many of the events that Ben Rhodes discusses in his book. I found his storytelling very compelling and easy to read. It was not overrun with minute details, while still giving what came across as an honest depiction of what life working in the White House was like.
