The Walking Dead Compendium Four

The final leg of the Walking Dead saga leaves nothing behind.

We see everything we have wanted for the characters and all the surprises we expect from Robert Kirkman and Charlie Adlard. This has been a phenomenal series and is by far the best modern comic book that I have read.

Do yourself a favor and read the entire series.

Most people know the Walking Dead from the TV series but the comics are on a whole different level.

The hype behind The Walking Dead's immense fanfollowing is completely justified; not only it's one of the best comics, but also one of the best horror books to read out there. The sheer adversity and brutality the characters live through till the end are some experience to behold.
The world that Robert Kirkman and Charlie Adlard has created in these 4000+ pages, is a welcome getaway to any horror fans out there.
I hope the TV series concludes in such a high note as the comic series did.

This has left a void.
That abrupt ending was unexpected!
This series can be described in just one word: Unputdownable.
From the dead being the main threat to other communities, the main group of the series has really suffered through hell.

Not sure if it was the ongoing pandemic, but I really did connect with the characters, trying to stay safe from the obvious danger.

Would choose the graphic novel over the TV series though.
This is definitely worth the read.

P.S. Even 193 issues later, its tough to say goodbye to this fascinating world Robert Kirkman created

Vseh 192 stripov plus nekaj specialov sem prebral v nekaj letih, niti sam ne vem kdaj točno sem začel. Ko sem izvedel, da se je Kirkman le odločil zgodbo pripeljati h koncu in ne v neskončnost mozlti uspešne so franšise sem dobil zagon, da sem v nekaj dneh prebral še zadnjo četrtino v obliki Compenduma #4. Nikakor mi ni žal. Čeprav bom pogrešal like, ki so z leti kot prijatelji, s katerimi sicer nimaš stika, ampak kadarkoli lahko nadaljuješ pogovor tam, kjer si ostal, mi ni žal, da je konec. Vsaka (dobra) stvar se mora enkrat končati. Srečno, Rick, Michone, Carl in ekipa. Bad ass ste!

Zadnji del sem prebral v negotovem času (prvega) lockdowna zaradi Coronavirusa. Podobnosti med zgodbama so več kot očitne, a za resnično zgodbo se trenutno nikomur ne sanja, kako se bo končala. Prav veselim se ta komentar prebrati čez nekaj let.
