I’m so surprised by the other reviews with 4 or 5 stars.

The FMC in this was CRAZY and not in a cute or charming way. She got a tattoo for a man she hadn’t even kissed yet???

How are we not talking about this.

She stalks his house???

MMC is just mean. It isn’t really a bully romance but he is mean and he acts and says things to put FMC down. I also don’t like cheating so there’s that too. Overall just not for me.

not to mention the professor/student relationship is taboo but can be done well - this is NOT. Thomas is aggressive and pushy and borderline abusive (at one point Layla tells him to stop what he's doing twice and he doesn't). her being a virgin & tight & having her vagina ruined by him is played up way too much and blaaahhh no I cannot

They're a perfect match. I think anybody who's in love with anyone is a perfect match. I don't believe in crap like There's somebody better for you out there. I don't want better. I want the guy I'm in love with.

I picked this up on a whim after seeing Melanie's glowing review and it was absolutely worth it. While the morals throughout are highly questionable, the writing is great and the author knows how to do steamy scenes well. I rarely read straight-up romance novels, but in this instance my rating is based more on personal enjoyment than objective quality. I've been going through a rough time and this was exactly the kind of read I needed to distract me from that. If you're looking for a fun romance that's a little on the kinkier side, this should hit the spot for you.

This is a pretty cover. Good representation of the heroine. Great composition. Nice title work.

So I am going to try and put into words how very much I LOVED this book. I am sure that whatever I say here will not even come close to expressing my feelings. I think it is safe to say that this is my favorite read of the year so far. And it has cheating...go figure!



It was fantastically well written and paced. The plot was multilayered and complex. It was harsh. It was dirty. It was ugly. It was about the forbidden. It was heartbreaking. It was about love lost and found again. It had smokin' hot sex scenes. It was beautiful. It was hopeful. It was about forgiveness of both yourself and others. It was about acceptance. It was about bravery and fearlessness. Lastly, it was filled with complicated and well-developed characters that will pull just about every different emotion from you.

Honestly what more can I say other than READ IT. Two HUGE thumbs up from yours truly.
