The Ugly Post: A City of Angels Romance

The Ugly Post (Darrow Publishing, B075TWDL5R, 2017) is a “City of Angels Romance” written by Sailor Penniman. This is the type of fiction I do not normally read because y'all know me - no drama. BUT...yes there is a but here. Penniman writes a relatable story without drowning us in tears.

The power of the written word on the Internet without any context is something that has gotten many of us in trouble. I am a pen-pal and I know that my humorous tone does not always come across that way (laugh...imagine that). Now take two people who have separate thoughts on a subject and their own insecurities and then have random strangers take those feelings and their interpretations and run with it. Horror!

I actually thought this book was going in another direction while I was reading it, but I will give you one spoiler because I am that kind of gal - HEA. If I am going to cry over a book there has to be HEA at the end...just saying. I did not cry over Penniman's words, but I completely related to the story as I am sure many of you will.

Penniman writes to our hearts and our fears making this an excellent post.
