I read this book as part of a blog tour but unfortunately it didn't work for me, so I had to share my review separately. This was my first book by this author and while this one didn't work for me; I am not opposed to reading something else by him. This is a post-apocalyptic horror short story and that's part of why it didn't fully work for me. I needed more.

This story is focused on Lucy and her small group which consists of a few family members. She is a mother of 2 and I loved how much of a momma bear she was. They live in a world that has been affected by global warming and the things that have happened because of this was kind of eye opening. The author did a great job of bringing to life just how horrible things could get.

I needed more for this to work for me. I need more explanation as to why things were the way they were and why these people were doing some of the stuff they did. Some of the things I read about this group doing was horrific and I just couldn't understand how they got to that.
