The Standing Chandelier: A Novella

Lionel Shriver is a massive talent, and it shows everywhere. So even if this novella is a glimpse in the life of a friendship which might end after 24 years and it hides a bunch of other feelings, it's impossible not to be involved by the well written and complex narrative that surrounds the flat plot.

I was charmed by this story.
