This one has to be my favorite book out of the series so far besides The Warlock. I love each character and the development of each one as well. This book still had the same pace maybe a little bit slower than the others but it was a fast read.
The Alchemyst = Nicholas Flamel, The Magician = DR John Dee, The Sorceress = Paranelle.
Bikin penasaran seri ini, walau udh menduga2 gmn jalan ceritanya... Never thought i would like the book the way i do...
Awesome
Love this book along with the others in the series so far. I would recommend it to a friend. If you have a hankering for some magic this is a good book to read.
More action, more people, more events that stress me out! Some characters I am falling out of love with and some I am falling more in love with. There is a sufficient amount of stressful events to make me want to take a break and not rush on to book 4.
These books are becoming agonizingly slow. Well, that's not true. They're not necessarily slow, it's just that NOTHING IS HAPPENING!!!!!!!!! So far each book has been a replay of the previous book. Dark Elder's peeps come after them, twins must learn magic, Dark Elder peeps find them, they fight, wonder twin powers activate, they escape, Dark Elder peeps come after them again, repeat, repeat, end of book.
Don't get me wrong, I'm enjoying the books, I just want it to come to an end before I start disliking everyone in the book.
At first, Josh's suspicion of Flamel really bugged me (beside his whining of course), but now Flamel is bugging me. Can't go into detail about that without giving too much away, but I find myself worried about his methods. Not the end game, just the way he's going about getting there.
Dee is the kind of bad guy that you just don't like because he's sort of pathetic. He feels so superior and awesome, but for hundreds of years he has consistently failed. Where does this guy get his self confidence?! Somehow he just seems to get out of trouble. It's very unsatisfying.
I've just got to power through it and finish the series. This pussyfooting around stuff is not working for me!
Ok, as we go progressing on the series, the books get better. Also my feelings go changing as well. For example, now I don't completely hate Josh, I have some sort of appreciation to him because he left Clarent there and didn't go to pick it up. Also, I know hate Sophie a little bit. It's just that I'm sick of them going against the Alchemist. I don't know why but I still believe that he is good, and all this is just the situation that makes him look a little bad.
Oh, yeah, PERENELLE IS FREE!!! Finally! But now I'm worried about Scatty and Joan. I mean, in the last book I wasn't even worried about her when she was taken to the river, even though she is my second favorite character. But now that she is in another era, I'm dying! I just want her back and Joan too. Also, the King. I really like him, even if he's a little crazy. I though he was cute. And I appreciate Palamedes a little, but at the same time I hate that he's so mean with Nicholas. I like that Morrigan isn't her anymore, but the other two. And they're finally home!!!
I though the book was really good! It goes better as we go by! I can't wait to read the next one!
