The Shadows Between Us

I really enjoyed the strong female lead—she's bold, ambitious, and totally owns every scene she's in. The tension and chemistry between the main characters are definitely a highlight and kept me hooked. However, the villain was a bit of a letdown and didn't bring as much conflict or complexity as I was hoping for. Still, the book was engaging and fun overall, and I'd recommend it if you're into dark fantasy with a sharp, confident heroine.
