Before saying what I thought of it, can I note that the writer isn't L. J. Smith! It's a ghost writer hired by Alloy. So I guess I know why the story began to suck...
What I loved:
- The complex situation of the relationships.
- All the characters except Elena's.
- The mystery and the aspect of the plot.
- The end was so good it saved the book from getting two (2/5) stars.
What I hated:
So many things:
- Elena's character.
- The writing style
- The turn of events when you switch a writer.
- And most importantly the amount of love scenes that aren't even good ones. They were disgusting, even to me who adore vampires.
