The Red Lotus

Interesting like most of what I've read by him. Not amazing, to be fair - and maybe the hint of a plague in times like this is too much for me. But still good and with reasonably well built surprises until the end.

For me it was slow to start and finally got interesting about half way in. Interesting plot line, especially with what is going on in the world. Midwives is still my favorite book of this author.
