The Raven Thief

Nice, quick fantasy read that gave me Six of Crows vibes, but with more magical things. I really enjoyed it and I'm thankful for the fact that I got to read an advanced copy of this book, courtesy of the author.

Being Romanian, I loved the fact that some things were inspired by Romanian culture such as names, places and Zodiac signs. I squealed a little when I saw these things, because not so many people know about this small, but beautiful country.

Love the characters, especially the Raven (I am secretly rooting for her and Rowan, that would make an amazing friends to kinda enemies to lovers story, wouldn't it??).

Can't wait to see what the next book in this series will bring!

I thought the writing of flowed very well and the action was well written without being rushed but fast enough that it didn't feel like it was being dragged on. The ending was good and made me want to read the next book to find out what happens to the brothers and if the unintentional betrayal get resolved. 
I thought the relationships between the characters where well done and developed throughout the book. 

Even though I enjoyed the book and will recommend it to other people I feel that the environment the book was set in could have been expanded on. The places weren't really described and I wasn't able to picture them easily. I didn't quite understand the mention of the fae courts and what they had to do with the story. 

For a debut book I thought it was good and I can definitely see the potential for this series and I'm very much looking forward to read the Ashley's future books.
