The Pilo Family Circus

One of the weirdest books I have ever read in my life, and I have read some weird shit. Couldn't put it down. Was a little scared I would have a nightmare about clowns :P

Great read. A quite a unique plot, steadily paced, and very funny. Not so much horror as I was expecting, but then what is horror but comedy anyway.
I won't outline the plot, there are heaps of reviews there that do that.
Favourite characters: Doopy (how can you read his lines without reading them in his exaggerated stupid clown voice?); Fishboy and his freaks, and Gonko.

This book is very different to other books I have read recently. I'm not even sure what genre it comes under. Fantasy perhaps, with a sprinkling of dark humour. Make no mistake, this is a dark book, not for the faint-hearted, and definitely not for anyone with a fear of clowns. I never liked clowns much, even less so now.
