The Other Langley Girl

A clumsy story of posthumous sibling rivalry. After her glamorous sister's death, Beth tries to follow in Lynn's footsteps, not realizing that her sister's old boyfriend is only interested in her test answers. The perfect boy who's been hanging around finally tells Beth what a rat her sister really was, and she instantly grows up. Coincidences abound at the end, and the writing sinks to new depths: "Beth felt her heart rising in her eyes, like a warm sun."
