The Orphan Band of Springdale

After she is sent to her grandmother's orphanage in Maine when her father becomes a fugitive from the law in 1940s America, Augusta Neubronner has to deal with her classmates' suspicions over her German name and tries to find comfort in playing in the orphanage band.
