There are some minor spoilers. You have been warned! ;)
I would say I was not expecting a good show on this one, first of, after all the happy endings I have been reading, I wanted something that would have a drastic ending as in I wanted something that by the end they would both end up hurt, and torn and confused and hurting some more. In a sense, that's what I got. So big spoiler alert. This book does not have a happy ending. Not too much of a happy ending, they did at some point, but I am ruling this as a disaster. Both hero and heroin did the most hurting I have even seen in a book. They were both manipulative and selfish and selfish and I liked all of it. This is amazing.
The writing was also one hell of a good one, you see, not one word was missed and I was drunk from all the beauty and and truthfulness and the honesty of how selfish it is. I totally had to get back from where I have left and when my little dragon was sleeping I took all the chance I got and finished the book at once, that's how hooked I was, until now I can't stop thinking about it. It ended good, there were no cliffhangers, nothing that would make you wander what happens to the both of them because by the end, you know what the ending is, and you will be hurt on how much the end happened, did I even make sense, maybe not, but I didn't want it to make sense. That's what Olivia's character is, what she has on her mind does not make sense at all, I'm actually confused about her attitude, but there are just some people like that. And that's why I liked it very much. There was a point at the beginning that I was literally shaking my head on one of her decisions but that's how she is. And then you question yourself what if I was fronted that question, what would I have said? With the same situation, with the same dilemma? What if? I really didn't find her that ruthless and manipulative.
And Caleb. The accent was believable, Miss Fisher, I liked Caleb. The act was believable too.
In all honesty, I read this because I saw Thief and it was the third installment of the Love Me With Lies and I am very glad to have read this. I really loved it.
